Cincinnati State Business Technologies Dean Nick Nissley and Associate Dean Michael Chikeleze were among those who attended the recent graduation ceremony for Cincinnati Cooks. They were there to help recognize and a current Cincinnati State dietetics student, Angela Lewis, who is a graduate of Cincinnati Cooks and was receiving the Fred Diamond/Cincinnati Cooks Scholarship affording her a scholarship to Cincinnati State. Angela shared her story – a story of overcoming obstacles and persisting – to realize personal and professional success, thanks to Cincinnati Cooks and Cincinnati State.
Nick reports that it was moving to hear every one of the graduates express their gratitude to the chefs of Cincinnati Cooks who taught them – Dennis Coskie and Marcus Hazel – who are also products of Cincinnati Cooks and Cincinnati State. Amy Diamond was present to award the scholarship as was Cincinnati Cooks Co-founder and former Procter & Gamble VP Customer Service, Mike Kremzar.
