This session -- scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 5 at the Conference Center at the College -- is being conducted by Dr. Katherine Rowell, Director of the Center of Teaching and Learning at Sinclair Community College. It will focus on research concerning teaching on semesters. Topics will include: increased amount of time in the course and the effects of that increase, impact on student retention, importance of outside-of-class assignments, mid-semester doldrums, teaching strategies and more.
