The Cincinnati State men's basketball team earned its 11th victory of the season at home on Thursday night, while the women's team earned their 14th victory on the road.
The men's team improved to 11-3 on the season with a 90-53 win over ABCD Prep. Marquis Wilson came off the bench to lead all scorers with 24 points to go along with 5 assists and 5 steals. Anton Hutchins, Cody Martin and D'Wayne Bazemore each had 10 points. The Surge will return to action this Saturday in the first conference matchup of the year against Lakeland at home starting at 3 p.m.
Coming off a three-week break, the women's program traveled to Columbus to take on the club team of The Ohio State University. The Lady Surge, who are now ranked No. 2 in the most recent NJCAA poll, cruised to a 67-46 victory. With the win, the Lady Surge continue to stay perfect at 14-0 heading into Saturday's conference opener which is also against Lakeland at home with the scheduled start time slated for 1 p.m.
