Honoring Dr. King

President Owens is scheduled to be the keynote speaker when Christ Hospital holds its annual observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Wednesday, Jan. 18.The program will honor former Cincinnati Vice Mayor and civil rights activist Marian Spencer, and will include performances by the student choir from William Howard Taft Elementary.

Cincinnati State was also represented in activities over the federal holiday dedicated to the memory of Dr. King. Yesterday members and friends of the Black Male Initiative gathered at the Freedom Center to participate in the regional march downtown to honor the slain civil rights leader.
