The student culinary team representing Cincinnati State's Midwest Culinary Institute earned second place at the American Culinary Federation Ohio culinary competition that took place Dec. 16, 2017 in Columbus, OH.
The MCI team earned a score of 84.9 out of 100 possible points.
Chef Alan Neace, Interim Associate Dean in the Business Division, said Cincinnati State had not entered the state competition for the past two years.
"Jumping back into this high level of exposure and taking second place is an outstanding accomplishment for our students and coaches," Chef Neace said.
