Cincinnati State students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the College enjoyed hot rod drag racing, a car show, and a swap meet at Edgewater Sports Park, while raising funds to assist Automotive students.

About 750 fans attended the drag races, with ticket proceeds designated for the Automotive Club.

Richard Weinle, owner of the Sports Park, is a graduate of Cincinnati's Central High School (now the site of CState's Clifton Campus) and a generous donor to the College.

In 2016, Mr. Weinle established an Endowed Scholarship to support the Automotive Service Management program.

During the day at the Sports Park, the CState Alumni Association hosted a split-the-pot and a raffle auction, and also provided information about the Automotive associate's degree and certificate programs, and the Automotive Club.
