Cincinnati State has received the annual Merit Award from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) for achieving a 93% graduate pass rate on the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination for 2011.All 14 of Cincinnati State’s 2011 graduates took the test last year, part of the national pool of 9,815 candidates who sat for the exam last year. Both the women’s and men’s basketball teams came away with wins in a trip to Edison Community College Wednesday.
Stani Kantcheva, an Accounting instructor in the Business Technologies Division, recently earned her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from the Board of Regents of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants. Stani has already earned her CPA designation. The CMA is a further indication of Stani’s personal abilities in the field of management accounting.
