The Faculty Senate Professional Development Committee and the Semester Transition Project cordially invite you to attend a workshop called Teaching to the Rhythms of Semesters. This session -- scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 5 at the Conference Center at the College -- is being conducted by Dr. Katherine Rowell, Director of the Center of Teaching and Learning at Sinclair Community College. The winners of the essay contest sponsored by the Black Male Initiative are Diane Hawkins, Adrienne Onley and Isaiah Madison. The top prize was awarded to Adrienne Onley.
As you make room in your closets for your presents this year, please think about donating your old clothing to help our students and their families. Early in January we will announce a new “Clothes for Careers” resource center staffed by volunteers who have a desire to help our graduates with dressing for job interviews as well as clothing their children. We are collecting clothes, shoes and personal items for women, men and children with a special emphasis on career clothing.
