Kids & Teens in the Kitchen - Summer Cooking Classes 2018

Each two-day, hands-on Kids Camp is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and includes lunch both days.

The cost for each two-day camp is $125.

Camps are taught by Midwest Culinary Institute Sous Chef (and MCI graduate) Sharon Wiest, with assistance from MCI students.

July 11 & 12 - Latin Flavors (13-16 years old)

Day 1: Mexico
  • Tostada & Taco Bar (make flour and corn tortillas from scratch)
  • Mexican Rice
  • Pinto Beans
  • Apple Cinnamon Enchiladas
Day 2: Spanish Tapas
  • Empanadas
  • Green Salad
  • Meatballs
  • Garlic shrimp
  • Papas Bravas
  • Spanish Tortilla

 

August 1 & 2 - Italy (8-12 years old)

Day 1:

  • Melon & Proscuitto
  • Pizza from scratch
  • Green Salad
  • Vinaigrette & Ranch Dressings
  • Chocolate and Ricotta Cookies

Day 2:

  • Spaghetti & Meatballs
  • Red Sauce
  • Blasted Broccoli
  • Caprese salad
  • Gelato
