  • - Safety protocols in place for students, employees, and campus visitors:
    Effective July 9, 2020, Cincinnati State has established policies to ensure safety on all campuses.

  • - Cincinnati State's Virtual 2020 Commencement ceremony takes place Aug. 9, 2020, at 3 p.m.  To join the pre-recorded video event, go to https://www.cincinnatistate.edu/commencement
  • - Qualified students can purchase a laptop computer from the College Bookstore using Financial Aid, or borrow a laptop computer from the College:
  • - CARES Act Emergency Grant Funds available to Fall Semester students:
    • Cincinnati State students who are enrolled in a degree or certificate program for 6 credit hours or more in Fall Semester 2020 may apply for CARES Act emergency funds.
      • Students enrolled for 6 to 11 credits in Fall semester are eligible to receive up to $500 in emergency funds.
      • Students enrolled for 12 credits or more in Fall semester are eligible to receive up to $1,600 in emergency funds.
    • Funds are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • - In-person services available at Clifton Campus:
    Effective June 29, 2020, some in-person services for new and continuing students are available on Clifton Campus Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Clifton Campus offices in the ATLC that are providing in-person services include:
    • Welcome Center (Admissions)
    • Career Center
    • Financial Aid Office
    • Registrar's Office
    • Student Activities (to provide SurgeCard IDs and Metro Cards)
    • Bookstore 
    • New and current students also can get in-person assistance making appointments for academic advising. Representatives of academic divisions will provide help from ATLC locations.
    • The Central Parkway Garage is available to campus visitors and employees free of charge. College Drive will remain closed.
    • For the safety of students and employees, enhanced sanitation and disinfection procedures and Plexiglas safety barriers are now used in public areas.
    • Campus visitors are expected to observe appropriate social distancing at all times, and not come to campus if they are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days. In addition, campus visitors must wear face coverings. Masks will be provided if needed.
  • - In-person services available at Middletown Campus:

    Effective July 20, 2020, Middletown Campus is offering in-person assistance for admissions, advising, and financial aid. Help is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For remote assistance, call (513) 217-3900.

  • The Middletown Campus reopening plan ensures adherence to CDC, state, and local safety guidelines related to COVID-19.
  • For Fall Semester, Middletown Campus students have options for online courses as well as some in-person classes. All in-person classes at Cincinnati State Middletown will have limited enrollment to ensure appropriate social distancing.
    • Students, instructors, and staff will be required to wear face coverings.
    • Cincinnati State Middletown will frequently clean and disinfect work and common areas according to CDC guidelines, and encourage students and staff to follow CDC-recommended personal hygiene protocols.
  • - In-person classes resume on Clifton & Harrison Campuses:
    Effective March 18, 2020, a limited number of students and faculty members are meeting on Clifton and Harrison Campuses to complete laboratory and assessment activities that were suspended during Spring Semester 2020.
    • All on-campus activities are conducted in compliance with safety protocols as stated by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the State of Ohio Department of Health, and all other applicable protocols, including professional protocols for the field of study.
  • - Changing Incomplete (I) Grades from Spring Semester 2020:
    Students who received the grade Incomplete (I) for a Spring Semester class who wish to change to a Pass/Fail grade after finishing course activities should inform your instructors by email of your preference, no later than Aug. 31, 2020. (See details below)
  • - Cincinnati State Fall Semester classes (beginning Aug. 24, 2020) will include some remote classes and some in-person technical labs and skills courses.
