AMT student wins “Women in Aviation” Scholarship

Aviation Maintenance Technology student Rachel Couch has received a $2500 scholarship awarded by Women In Aviation International (WAI) and Helicopter Association International (HAI).

Rachel is currently working on her FAA Powerplant License and she holds a co-op position with GE Aviation Engine Test Operations in Evendale. Previously, she was employed at Cincinnati Jet Center at the Butler County Airport.

For the scholarship competition, Rachel prepared a 500-word essay about her motivations and goals for an aviation-related career, along with two recommendation letters, and a resume. Rachel has a 3.5 GPA.
