Dr. Monica Posey
For 34 years, Dr. Monica J. Posey has been a driving force behind Cincinnati State’s growth, innovation, and commitment to student success, including a decade of transformative leadership as president. As she prepares to retire on August 31, 2026, we celebrate a legacy defined by bold vision, resilience, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every student. Under her leadership, Cincinnati State launched its first bachelor’s degree programs, expanded student support through the Career Center and Transfer Center, developed the state-of-the-art Health Simulation Lab, achieved its highest enrollment in more than a decade, and now graduates students who earn the highest average income among Ohio’s 22 community colleges. Most importantly, her influence can be measured in the thousands of lives she has helped change through education.
As we honor Dr. Posey’s extraordinary legacy, we invite faculty, administration, retirees, students, alumni, and community partners to join us for a series of special events celebrating her contributions and lasting impact. Together, we will share our gratitude, reflect on her remarkable achievements, and help advance the vision of the future Dr. Monica J. Posey Student Success Center, ensuring her commitment to student success continues to inspire and support generations of Cincinnati State students.

Join Dr. Monica J. Posey for her final official day as President of Cincinnati State at the Honors Scholarship Golf Classic. This special celebration brings together Honors students, alumni, sponsors, supporters, and community partners for a day of golf, camaraderie, and philanthropy while honoring Dr. Posey’s remarkable 34-year legacy.
Proceeds from the event will directly support Honors Program scholarships, helping students pursue their academic goals while honoring Dr. Posey’s longstanding commitment to student achievement and success. Join us as we celebrate her remarkable legacy and help close out an extraordinary chapter in Cincinnati State’s history.
