Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Center is a free resource for Cincinnati State students.

Tutors can be either faculty members or students at Cincinnati State who have earned qualifying grades in courses they tutor and have been recommended by a faculty member.

Students who are interested in becoming tutors can pick up an application form in the Tutoring Center.

How to Register

Students can schedule a recurring weekly tutoring appointment for one or two courses. Walk-In tutoring does not require a scheduled appointment.

To schedule recurring appointments:

  • Sign into MyCState and go to the “Starfish” tab
    • You will find available courses and tutors in Starfish
  • Go to “My Success Network” and click on “Schedule Appointment”

All tutoring appointments must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and are weekly appointments.

If you cannot attend your scheduled session, you must notify the Tutoring Center at 513.569.1614 at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to cancel could mean you will lose your tutoring services for the semester.
