Men Soccer v. Xavier 8.18.15 Cincinnati State saw why Xavier is ranked No. 19 in a preseason poll of NCAA Division I soccer programs.  The Surge lost to the Musketeers, 5-1, in a preseason exhibition match on Tuesday.

Peake signs with men's soccer Hayden Peake, an All-State soccer and football player from Oakwood High School in Dayton, Ohio, is set to join the Cincinnati State men’s soccer program. Men's soccer adds defender Christian Morris, a 6-foot-2 central defender, will join the Cincinnati State men’s soccer team when practice begins on Aug. 1. Cicha earns national honors Kasia Cicha, a graduating sophomore on the Cincinnati State women’s basketball team, has received an Exemplary Achievement Award from the National Junior College Athletic Association. A native of Aleksandrow Lodzki, Poland, Cicha earned a 3.66 GPA as she completed an Associate of Science degree at Cincinnati State. Lakota keeper signs with Surge Jake Mutlu, a highly decorated goalkeeper from Lakota West High School, is joining the Cincinnati State men’s soccer team. Mutlu, who stands 6-foot-2, comes off an impressive senior season with the Firebirds. Mutlu recorded six shutouts as Lakota West finished 13-5 and went on to reach the sectional finals.
