Cincinnati State Middletown to host recruiting event for Hispanic families

Cincinnati State will host a recruiting event at its Middletown campus on Wednesday, Nov. 12 designed
especially for members of the region’s large Hispanic community.

The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cincinnati State campus at 1 North Main Street in
downtown Middletown.

“There are many high school students from Hispanic families who are ready for college, and adults who
want to go back to school or improve their English speaking skills,” said Tom Hale, Assistant Director of
Cincinnati State’s Middletown Campus. “This event will have admission information to help them get
started for the Spring Semester.”

Classes for the 2015 Spring Semester start Jan. 12.

The Nov. 12 event will include:

 Information about all of the College’s certificate and associate degree programs
 Descriptions of Cincinnati State’s English as a Second Language programs and foreign language
classes
 Access to representatives of Cincinnati State’s nationally-recognized co-op program
 An opportunity for guests to meet members of the College’s support services team, including
representatives of the Office of International Student Affairs
 Representatives from several College offices, including Admission, Financial Aid and the
Workforce Development Center
 Refreshments
 Childcare services
 Bilingual staff

“There are many Hispanic families in Butler County that have members who have different English skill
levels.  The Hispanic Family Night will have something for everyone,” said Middletown Admission
Representative Kandise Bobo. “We’ll have lots of information about our ESL classes as well as
information about our degrees and programs for those prospective students whose English is already at
the college level.”
