Technology-themed trees sprouted on campus!
A unique expression of holiday cheer came to Clifton Campus via “Battle of the Branches” trees that were crafted by the Engineering & Information Technologies (EIT) Division’s faculty and staff members.
The trees were displayed outside the division office and then became part of the decor at the College’s annual Holiday Luncheon for employees and retirees on December 10, 2025.
The show of seasonal trees was the brainstorm of faculty member Emmanuel “Junior” Ivenso, who challenged his EIT colleagues to share trees decorated with ornaments that represent their academic field or division service area.
Students in EIT and attendees at the Holiday Luncheon were invited to vote on awards for outstanding trees.
The winners– who were rewarded with the right to brag about their achievements for an entire year– were:
- Best Decorated (tie): Construction Management and Lab Center
- Most Innovative: Chemical Technology
- Most Festive (tie): Construction Management and Clerical Staff
