Faces of Cincy State: A'Zel Horsley

An Amazing Community College

Cincinnati State was my third option for college when I was a senior in high school and I quickly realized it was an amazing college. My favorite aspect of being a student at Cincinnati State was the convenience. I was able to work full-time, coach, manage some family time and enjoy a few vacations all while I was going to school.

My relationships with my teachers and advisors were great and some of them I still communicate with for guidance on job opportunities and resume updates.

Campus life was great, especially for a community college. There were many resources available such as open gym hours, a game room, the cafeteria with a variety of food options, and several school clubs and organizations to join.

The best advice I can give to a new college student who is attending Cincinnati State would be to prepare to learn time management, so you can enjoy your time like I did. Don’t forget to build relationships as well– I guarantee they will come in handy later down the road.
