International students should submit the following (as they apply to you):
- High school transcripts or diplomas (unless already a college graduate)
- You DO NOT need to submit high school transcripts or diplomas if you have already earned a college degree.
- Diplomas or certificates are acceptable in place of transcripts as long as they contain a date and grade level achieved.
- You must submit an English translation of any non-English transcripts or diplomas.

- Full transcript of classes are needed ONLY if you intend to transfer course credits to your Cincinnati State program of study.
- If you wish to transfer credit college or university course credits you must have your transcript evaluated by an official credential evaluation service.
- You must submit an English translation of any non-English transcripts or diplomas.
- ACT or SAT test scores (see more on how to submit these scores on the Placement Test page)
How to submit transcripts or diplomas
- Submit documents by email
- Scanned transcripts or diplomas must be scanned from originals or official copies provided by your school.
- Scanned documents must be in color and in PDF format. Documents scanned in black and white will not be accepted.
- Email scanned original and translated documents to: renee.bransford@cincinnatistate.edu
- Submit documents by postal mail
- Only original transcripts and diplomas or official copies generated by your school will be accepted.
- All documents will be returned to students when you arrive at Cincinnati State. Unfortunately, we cannot return documents to students outside of Cincinnati after you have submitted the documents.

Transcript credentialing services
- Credentialing services review courses you have taken at a foreign college and match them with relevant college courses in the U.S. so your course credits can be transferred.
- Transcripts should be evaluated ONLY if you wish to apply credits earned from your previous college experience toward your degree or certificate at Cincinnati State.
- Transcripts should be translated into English before being sent to a credentialing service.
- Applicants are responsible for paying all credentialing and translating costs.
Recommended credentialing services
You may use any credit evaluation service that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).The services listed below are members.
Transcript and diploma translation services
- All non-English transcripts, diplomas, or certificates you send to Cincinnati State must be accompanied by an official English translation.
- Translation may be done in your country as long as documents show a seal or notary of the translator.
- Applicants are responsible for paying all translating costs.
