The Workforce Development Center (WDC) has the training you need in today’s advanced manufacturing environments. Our hands-on programs use state-of-the-art computerized manufacturing equipment and are taught in an accelerated format to help students begin a career in the field, or advance in their current workplace. Many programs can be directly applied to degree and advanced certifications.

Offering short-term credentials and certifications, customized training, and assessments, we train face-to-face either on our campus or at your site. We also provide a combination of online and hybrid (face-to-face and online) learning options.

Programs

Additive Manufacturing Technician: 3D Printing for Industry

A program providing training in the various polymer and metal 3D printing processes, along with industrial applications of Additive Manufacturing (AM). 

Chemical Operator 1

An introductory course designed to provide the foundations of training needed for a high-demand position as a Chemical Operator in the manufacturing industry.

Chemical Operator 2

A continuation of Chemical Operator 1, this program covers advanced topics related to chemical processing and plant operations.

CNC Machine Tool Operator (MO1)

The CNC Machine Tool Operator program provides fundamental training on how to operate CNC machines. The program prepares students through hands-on training and machining of various components.

CNC Machine Tool Programmer (MO2)

A continuation program of CNC Machine Tool Operator (MO1). This program focuses on in-depth programming of computerized numerical control equipment utilizing simulators, coupled with the operation of a CNC machining center and CNC lathe.

MSSC Certified Logistics Associate (CLA/CLT)

The industry-recognized, nationally portable CLA and CLT credentials help prepare individuals for careers in the rapidly growing and changing world of global supply chain logistics.

Safety is key in the Workforce. The Workforce Development Center’s Center for HazMat Rescue and Safety offers training that is OSHA mandated to help protect organizations and employees.
