Loaner laptop distribution started this week for Cincinnati State students

Nearly 60 Cincinnati State students have received loaner laptop computers this week, with assistance from Information Technology Services (ITS) staff members including David Shives and Carmine Santoro (above), who distributed computers in the rain.

  • ITS reported that 26 students picked up laptop computers on Tuesday, Apr. 21, 2020, and 32 laptops were picked up on Thursday, Apr. 23, 2020.

  • Chief Information Officer Frankie Baker said so far, about 135 students have requested loaner computers.

  • Some students who requested computers were not registered for any Spring or Summer classes. Outreach is underway to offer those students assistance in registering for Summer classes, which would make them eligible for a loaner computer.

A few more laptops are still available for those making new requests. More information about Cincinnati State’s loaner laptop program is in this news article published Apr. 17, 2020.
