Faces of Cincy State: Ryan Osner

For the Love of Beer

I chose Cincinnati State because it offered a wide array of studies that I was interested in. I didn’t really know what I wanted to study, but I knew I liked to cook. So, I started out in the culinary program and earned my Culinary Arts Certificate. Then I moved to the brewing science program where I graduated with my Associate of Applied Science in Brewing Science.

A bunch of us in the program became very close. I always loved spending time with my peers both in and out of class. We definitely had our fair share of post class beers.

As a Veteran going to Cincinnati State, I had nothing but great experiences. The staff members for Veterans support at Cincinnati State were always great to work with, and always ready to help, whether it was issues with my GI Bill or registering for classes. Cincinnati State is a great choice for Veterans, both young and old.

I can honestly say that I have applied the information I learned at Cincinnati State every day since graduating.
