Welcome to CCP with Cincinnati State

Congratulations on being admitted to the College Credit Plus (CCP) program at Cincinnati State!

Please complete Steps 1-3 below to move forward in the process. The video in Step 1 will provide more details about your eligibility for program participation.

Step 1: Complete CCP 101 (Required for all CCP students)

CCP 101 is required for all CCP students at Cincinnati State and must be completed on a computer, not your phone!

When you view the video, please make sure you watch all the way to the end and utilize the QR code to complete the REQUIRED verification form.

For more information about CCP from the state of Ohio, feel free to take a look at their overview here.

Step 2: Activate Your MyCState 2.0 Student Portal

24-48 hours after receiving your letter of admission, you will receive a separate email containing your Cincinnati State username and student ID number. This email will be sent to your personal email listed on the application. Your username is also the first part of your CState email address (i.e. username@cincinnatistate.edu).

Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1Click/Tap here to set your password.

Step 2: Continue to follow the prompts.

If you need assistance with your password or have login issues, please contact the Cincinnati State IT Help Desk at 513-569-1234

From MyCState 2.0, you have access to the online tools Self-Service, SurgeMail, Starfish, and Brightspace.

Step 3: Schedule Your Advising and Course Registration Appointment (Online and On Campus Students Only)

All CCP students taking classes online or on our campus are required to meet with an Academic Advisor prior to enrolling/registering for classes each semester.

Students who have completed CCP 101 can schedule an advising appointment through Starfish on the MyCState 2.0 portal. Check out our Making an Advising Appointment video for step-by-step instructions!

If you have any trouble with scheduling online, please call the CCP Office at 513-569-5700.

For students taking CCP classes at your high school: Make sure to let your counselor know that you’re admitted! They will submit your name to the CCP office for those courses. You do not need to meet with an Academic Advisor or register online for those courses. But, you must complete CCP 101!

Other Information to Consider Before Your Advising Appointment

CCP students who will be in 7th, 8th or 9th grade or who have below a 2.75 unweighted GPA are required to take the ACCUPLACER or submit ACT or SAT scores, if applicable. For information about registering for the ACCUPLACER, click here. Students are only permitted to take the ACCUPLACER once per calendar year.

If you have ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER scores, please send a copy to ccp@cincinnatistate.edu.

Other CCP students may be required to take the ACCUPLACER test depending on course requisites prior to meeting with an Academic Advisor. Information about the ACCUPLACER and registration for a testing date can be found here.

Students must also complete the self-guided Cincinnati State New Student Orientation.

Log into your MyCState account and click on the “New Student Orientation” tab (below the “Quick Support” section) to get started.

Visit the New Student Orientation webpage for more details.

Private and Homeschool Students

Please note: Private and Homeschool students can apply for state funding for CCP courses prior to April 1st at 5 p.m. for the next academic year.

If you are awarded state funding, please remember you must send your award letter to the college by emailing it to CCP@cincinnatistate.edu. Funding letters need to be received by July 1st. If we do not receive a funding letter, you will be directly billed for your courses.
