Welcome to CCP with Cincinnati State

Cincinnati State is committed to your success. Please carefully review the next steps and details below.

Activate Your MyCState Student Portal

24-48 hours after receiving your letter of admission, you will receive a separate email containing your Cincinnati State username and student ID number. This email will be sent to your personal email listed on the application. Your username is also the first part of your CState email address (i.e. username@cincinnatistate.edu).

Once you receive this information, please activate your account by follow these steps:

  • Go to MyCState (https://livecincinnatistate.sharepoint.com/).
  • Click Students and then Can’t access your account? link in the Login Here box.
  • Follow the prompts to setup your security information for Cincinnati State email, portal, and network access. Note: Use your full email address in the Email or Username box.
  • If you need assistance with your password or have login issues, please contact the CCP Office at 513-569-5700

From MyCState, you have access to the online tools Self-Service, SurgeMail, Starfish, and Blackboard.

Complete CCP 101 (Required for all CCP students)

Introducing Cincinnati State’s NEW CCP Orientation module – CCP 101!

CCP 101 is required for all CCP students at Cincinnati State and must be completed on a computer, not your phone!

Submit Required Scores and Take the ACCUPLACER Test (If Needed)

If you have ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER scores, please send a copy to ccpadmission@cincinnatistate.edu.

CCP students with no transcripted high school credit or below a 2.75 unweighted GPA are required to take the ACCUPLACER.

Other CCP students may be required to take the ACCUPLACER test depending on course requisites prior to meeting with an Academic Advisor. Information about the ACCUPLACER and registration for a testing date can be found here.

Schedule Your Advising and Course Registration Appointment (Online and On Campus Students Only)

All CCP students taking classes online or on our campus are required to meet with an Academic Advisor prior to enrolling/registering for classes each semester.

Students who have completed CCP 101 can schedule an advising appointment through Starfish on the MyCState portal.

If you have any trouble with scheduling online, please call the CCP Office at 513-569-5700.

How to get Registered for CCP classes at your High School

Make sure you let your High School Counselor know you have been admitted!

For students who will be taking classes at their high school, your counselor will submit your name to the CCP office for those courses.  You do not need to meet with an Academic Advisor nor register online for those courses.  But, you must complete CCP 101.
